Huawei AI Speaker is a new smart speaker of the Chinese company that is characterized by its very small size and to be equipped with an artificial intelligence system. From a design point of view, this new product adopts the classic cylindrical shape of all smart speakers. However, the light domed shape is reminiscent of the design of the Apple HomePod. On top of the smart speaker are a series of quick touch controls.
The audio system is very well cared for. In order to offer good sound quality, Huawei AI Speaker has a 2.25" driver that can guarantee a maximum power of 10 W. To better understand people's controls, this smart speaker has 6 built-in microphones.
Of course, there is also support for voice assistants. In the first market where this product will be marketed, China, the included voice assistant will be Xiaoyi which was developed directly by Huawei. If this smart speaker were to arrive in Europe, it is fair to assume that it can be equipped with other voice assistants such as Google Assistant or Alexa.
This very interesting product was developed in collaboration with Dynaudio, a Danish brand specializing in audio products.
Huawei has not disclosed further details and in particular if this product will also come outside the Chinese markets. Huawei AI Speaker will be offered at a price of 399 yuan, or around 60 dollars/50 euros. A product, therefore, that could potentially come at a very attractive price.
